Larry has been a full-time personal financial advisor since 1984, and he founded Gardhouse + Gardhouse Financial Services in 1986 with his wife, Bev. In the years since, in addition to working closely with local clients and growing the business, he has served as President and Treasurer of the local chapter of the Financial Advisors Association of Canada (Advocis) and as Chairman of Membership for the National Institute of Advanced Financial Planners (IAFP).

Over the years, Larry has enjoyed getting to know and build close relationships with his clients, and he has come to specialize in budgeting and cash flow management; retirement planning; estate planning; survivorship income planning; pension maturity options and transfers; and investment risk and tax planning.

Larry enjoys skiing and sailing, and he has a passion for antique boats. He’s a founding director of the Georgian Bay Sailing Regatta and the Georgian Bay Sailing Association. Larry also volunteered for years with Scouting groups in the area, and served as Scouts Canada district treasurer. Larry and Bev have four grown children.
